Inspirational Blogs are Full of Crap

False hopes.
That's what these inspirational blogs are doing. Inspirational blogs tend to do one of three things:

  1. They tell you you can fix whatever is wrong with your life
  2. They tell you there is nothing wrong with your life, and to move past it
  3. They tell you to have faith in a higher power (GOD)
The problem is, none of these methods are effective whatsoever. They offer absolutely no useful information for fixing any of your own problems. They tell you that you SHOULD be happy and that you CAN be happy, but with no tips on how to do so. Further more, relying on some higher power (faith) to fix what's wrong with you is absolutely futile. If you do absolutely nothing and expect things to get better on their own, you are worse off than before. Nothing will change unless you do something, and the fact that you believe that they might makes you even more naive than you realize, giving you yet another disadvantage in life.

Family Owned Businesses are Destroying America

Drive down Main Street in your average residential town. You will see plenty of franchise restaurants lining the roads. They have bright, attractive signs and neat landscaping, plenty of parking, and you know what you're getting into when you eat at one. Mixed among these clean and convenient restaurants are family owned restaurants, or "mom and pop food shacks." Restaurants like these are uglier, dirtier, and packed with a lower quality of customer. People who eat at regular restaurants are normal, well behaved people. However if you've ever been in one of these hole-in-the-wall food shacks, you know that they're filled with noisy diners and obnoxious misbehaving children, all of whom throw food all over the restaurant. It's this type of distinction that makes eating at a normal restaurant a much more pleasant and professional experience.

Filthy Kitchens: one might expect this
to be a common scene in family run restaurants.

Similar phenomena are occurring in all sorts of businesses across America. Restaurants are just one piece of the puzzle. Book stores, clothing stores, and even hardware stores owned by individuals and families litter American streets. I certainly would not feel safe entering a hardware store not run by the proper franchise management, would you? There could be sharp nails, falling hammers, and many other hazards that you would never find in a properly run hardware store. And just like with restaurants, the customers found inside these privately owned businesses and shops are rowdier and dirtier.

Why are Americans still allowing these filthy small businesses to exist in their towns, when there are so many larger commercial options. Franchise businesses are invariably cheaper as well. In this time of recession, are your finacnes any matter to leave up to some overcharging greedy mom or pop? I think not.

Army Parents are a Disgrace to Society

Men and women with families who serve in the armed forces are terrible people. They are damaging their own families, which are the fabric of America. Show me one child who is glad that their mom or dad is away in the military for years on end. However "cool" it may be to tell one's classmates "my dad is in the army and he shots people for a living," that child still feels the pain of being separated from his parent. People who claim to "support the troops" under any circumstances are equally disgusting. Most of the troops can use your support, but the ones with children should not be in the military in the first place. If you have ever served in the army with children back home, shame on you.
